DAVE GILLAM. . . . The Ice Cream Man!
Oh Shit! another Queenslander!! Ever since Dave saw Legendary British Group Status Quo at the age of 12 he has wanted to play music, but never got around to it. He picked up the guitar 3 years ago at Rick Steele's music workshop to sing a few tunes here & there. Dave says " I got bit by da bug, music & songs are running round in my head all day! Deciding to hop off the drums to being out front with his own band ON THE LEVEL has been difficult to adjust to, but we're getting there!" But drumming for Rick's Bambun Blues band, is a gig he loves. " Rick tests me every gig, he keeps me on my toes & teaches me to think on my feet " Dave also has been dabbling in writing his own music and had an entry in the 2004 WAMI awards. The band is currently playing another of Daves songs Titled " Pony Express " its a real high energy number.
